Born 1983 in Carshalton, Surrey, Bobby Dowler studied Film at Southampton Institute.
Bobby Dowler takes simplicity as a founding principle, Dowler's work aspires to the reconciliation of contradictory principles, styles and experiences in the achievement of coherent and visually striking works of art. Employing a wide variety of materials including scrap objects, steel, wood and canvas, his art is characterised by a considered balance often arrived at through the re-fabrication of found materials or the fabrication of entirely new things.
