Biography

Cornelia Parker was born in 1956 and currently lives and works in London. She studied at Gloucestershire College of Art and Design, Wolverhampton Polytechnic and at Reading University.

Parker is best known for a number of large-scale installations including Cold Dark Matter: An Exploded View which was shown at Tate Britain in 1991

She was shortlisted for the Turner prize in 1997 and has since had several major solo shows including exhibitions at the Serpentine Gallery, London, Deitch Projects, New York and in 2007 at Ikon Gallery, Birmingham.

Parker has many works in public and private collections in both Europe and the USA.
