Roche Riddles, Salisbury Festival Evening at Roche Court
Wednesday 28 May, 6.00pm-8.00pm
In collaboration with the Salisbury Festival, stone letter-cutter Gary Breeze and poet Kevin Crossley-Holland will host an evening inspired by the latest carved additions to the walled garden. A Riddle Romp competition will also be held.
£15.00 per ticket including a glass of wine and canapes.
Primary Creative Practitioner Workshop in partnership with NSEAD
Friday 6th June 9.30am - 3.45 pm
This workshop is designed to support primary teachers who wish to extend their knowledge and develop art, craft and design in their school. The course will relate directly to the works exhibited at the New Art Centre and provide creative and practical classroom ideas and strategies.

New Generation Revisited British Sculpture from the Sixties and Seventies

Artist's talk and debate
In conjunction with the New Generation Revisited exhibition we are inviting students and teachers from St Martins School of Art for an artist's tour of the exhibition followed by a debate and discussion about this influential generation of artists.
Art students, sixth form students and friends of Roche Court are invited to join us.

Tim Harrisson Stone Carving Workshop
Monday 30th June
Artists talk and stone cutting demonstration.
Wiltshire based, stone carver Tim Harrisson will demonstrate stone carving and discuss his work. His works include Pegasus for Chatsworth House and Sounding for the crypt at Winchester Cathedral.
This workshop is directed to years 7, 8 and 9.

The Big Art Mob Workshop
As part of the Channel 4 Spring 2008 series on public art, the Big Art Mob Workshop is aimed at engaging students, Year 9 and above, with public art by taking photographs of 3D sculpture on their mobile phones and using web technology to create a user-generated, annotated archive and online map of art on public view across the UK.
Similar workshops can be arranged for school groups by appointment.
'How Places Work'
Architecture workshops to be arranged by appointment.
Monday - Friday
Using the award winning architecture of the artists' houses and gallery, set in spectacular Wiltshire countryside, groups will be given briefs to explore the role of architecture and their sense of place. The skills acquired on this day will enable students to broaden their understanding of the function of architecture in their own lives and communities. These specialist workshops can be tailored to suit school groups from year 6 to degree students.
A minimum stay of 2 hours is recommended.
