Ceramic Workshop with Jennifer Lee
Wednesday 21 March 2012
Alongside an exhibition of her ceramics in the Artists' House as part of the contemporary craft exhibition 'the nature of things', Jennifer Lee will be leading a workshop at Roche Court for students in Year 7 and Year 8. Students will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition and discuss the work with the artist herself and then make a pot.
Jennifer makes hand-formed vessels that are carefully coloured with oxides. The resulting pots have a parchment like surface and a purity of form.
Jennifer is a graduate of the Royal College of Art. Her work is represented in major public collections worldwide including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, the National Museum of Sweden and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
Places are limited so please book early.
Cost per student is £5 to include materials.

Articulation 2012
National ARTiculation Prize Final to be held Saturday 3 March 2012
Clare College, University of Cambridge
To be adjudicated by Jon Snow

The ARTiculation Prize invites sixth form students to give a short presentation on a work of art of their choice. Participating students will enter one of seven regional heats taking place across the country in January and February 2012. Entrants from each heat will be selected to take part in the Competition Final on Saturday 3 March 2012 at Clare College, Cambridge. This event is part of an ARTiculation Conference in partnership with the University of Cambridge and open to all sixth form students.
The ARTiculation Prize is open to all students, not just those studying Art or History of Art. Students studying other disciplines are encouraged to take part and reflect their own interests within their talk. The competition encourages first hand experience with the work of art being discussed.
