Alexandra Jefford: Compressed Lines

To celebrate the recently completed exhibition space, the Design House at the New Art Centre, you are invited to the launch of a new collection of jewellery and sculpture titled Compressed Lines by London-based designer Alexandra Jefford.

Born in Geneva, Alexandra Jefford is a London-based artist who studied Fine Art at Central St Martins, London; Jewellery Design at the Gemological Institute of America and Gemology at the Gemological Association of Great Britain. Her collections are often inspired by the Bauhaus movement and American Abstract Expressionism, making unique pieces of jewellery through the drawing of lines, forms, materials and textures.

Jefford's work has been featured in several publications including US, UK and China Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Wallpaper, Stella magazine, Marie Claire, the New York Times and the Times, City AM, Telegraph Luxury, Departures mag, Viewpoint, Financial Times, and Financial Times How to spend it. She has also appeared in jewellery books The New Jewellers by Olivier Dupon, Fashion for Jewels and Drawing Jewels for Fashion by Carol Woolton.
