Alison Crowther MA RCA: Anatomy of a Tree

Anatomy of a Tree is Alison Crowther’s first solo show with the New Art Centre and will show a collection of her recent work on a range of scales.
Carving from naturally felled local timber, Crowther creates works that follow the natural growth lines of wood and accentuate its unique features. Fusing geometry and improvisation, her forms become compelling representations of our connection to the nature that surrounds us.

Accompanying Crowther’s exhibition is a collection of custom brooches by jewellery designer Lucy Anderson. Anderson’s work blends the world of sculpture and jewellery, making unique, wearable works of art.
Both their work share a focus on geometric form and lines, combining Crowther’s materials with Anderson’s elegant design.
Anderson is based in West Sussex and studied Jewellery Design at Morley College London.
