GUIDED TOURS

The New Art Centre, Roche Court Sculpture Park, offers Guided Tours of the grounds and galleries.

The New Art Centre was established in 1958 in Sloane Street, London.  The gallery initially focused on supporting emerging artists, particularly graduates of art universities in the 50’s and 60’s, by providing a platform for exhibitions and sales of their work.

In 1974, Lady Bessborough and her husband relocated to the Wiltshire countryside, where they acquired Roche Court as a working farm.

From the start she became a pioneer in presenting sculpture within the landscape, playing a significant role in the early development of outdoor sculpture exhibitions in the UK.

From there she has gone onto represent artists estates such as Barbara Hepworth, Ian Stephenson and John Hubbard.  Roche Court now shows a wide rang of British Contemporary Art and Sculpture from the 50’s to the present day.

Our Guided Tours are bespoke, so booking in advance is essential.

Led by our expert staff, our tours run for two hours and cover the sculpture, exhibitions and architecture of the New Art Centre, Roche Court Sculpture Park.

Guided Tours begin at £15 per head, with a minimum charge of 8 people.

This cost goes straight back into the upkeep of the park and supporting the Roche Court Educational Trust.

Our guides lead and share their knowledge and passion for the artists and works in our collection. They will take you on a journey through Modern British art from the 50’s to the present day and give you the opportunity to experience highlights of the collection on display, such as Anthony Caro, Richard Long, and Peter Randall-Page.

Minimum donations apply.
