Katie Walker designs furniture that is imbued with a timeless, iconic aesthetic. By distinctively combining form and function, she creates furniture that is user-friendly and ergonomic; whilst retaining a minimalist, sculptural quality that Katie hopes ‘can be enjoyed and handed down the generations.’ Consequently, Katie prioritises using sustainable materials and labour practices, to ensure processes that minimise their environmental impact.

Walker produces ‘couture’ furniture for shows, galleries and one-off commissions, as well as a wider collection too. She has received grants from the Crafts Council and Prince’s Youth Business Trust that has allowed for the expansion and consolidation of her practice.
