Michael Hischer (1955-2026) was a sculptor who lived and worked in Germany. He was primarily concerned with movement and his kinetic sculptures serve as canvases on which the speed and direction of the wind is made visible to the human eye.

Michael Hischer studied sculpture in Hannover and at the University of the Arts in Berlin. In 1991 he received scholarships from the Karl Hofer Society in Berlin and the Werkstatt Schloss in Wolfsburg. Since then he has exhibited widely in Germany and Europe, and his work can be found in public and private collections.
