Sculpture by Laura Ford: Strawberry Hill House, Twickenham, TW1 4ST

20 Jun – 31 Oct 2015

The Strawberry Hill Trust has invited Stephen Feeke, Director of Roche Court Sculpture Park, to curate their first exhibition of contemporary art in the grounds and house at Strawberry Hill. Laura Ford's work is particularly well-suited to the history and atmosphere of Strawberry Hill, its Gothic architecture and the sensibilities of its creator, Horace Walpole.

Inside the house, a number of works have been carefully selected to suit the different interiors including some of Ford's best-known works. New works will include a specially-designed group of Waldegrave poodles based on Reynold's famous portrait of 'The Ladies Waldegrave' and Ford is also planning a Rapunzel-like figure leaning over the round tower.

After Strawberry Hill, the exhibition was shown at Blackwell Arts and Crafts House and Abbot Hall Art Gallery, Cumbria, from 11 March - 4 September 2016.
