Roche Court Educational Trust
School Visits
The Educational Trust enables schools and universities to visit and experience a guided tour of the modern and contemporary sculptures here in the park. Our guides lead and share their knowledge and passion for the artists and works in our collection. They will take you on a journey through Modern British art from the 50’s to the present day and give you the opportunity to experience highlights of the collection on display, such as Anthony Caro, Richard Long, and Peter Randall-Page.
The artworks at New Art Centre and Roche Court Sculpture Park are displayed in a number of outdoor and indoor spaces including the Sculpture Park, Gallery, Design House and Artists House. The New Art Centre exhibits over 60 internationally renowned and emerging artists, showing a changing programme of artwork from 1950 to the present day.
During the tour there is an emphasis on conversation about Art. What they learn here is the background of British contemporary art and that it is their heritage and it is their responsibility to encourage others to pass this onto future generations to come.
The number of schools participating in our tours have grown, and we have found that we have become an invaluable part of the education establishment.
All group visits must be booked in advance with a small charge per head.
