Installed in the gallery at Roche Court Sculpture Park, a collection of 11 paintings and 6 bronze sculptures inspired by Salisbury Plain and the Wiltshire countryside. Landscape and a love of nature has always been at the forefront of Frie’s vision. Peter Frie first exhibited with the New Art Centre in London in 1984 and since then has shown his work regularly at Roche Court.
Peter Frie (b.1947) lives and works in Sweden and Thailand. His work is included in a number of major public collections including the Moderna Museet, Stockholm; Kiasma Museum of Modern Art, Helsinki; and the Malmö Museum, Malmö, as well as private collections across Europe. In 1998 he was awarded the Ars Fennica, the prestigious prize awarded by the Henna and Pertti Niemistö Art Foundation. Frie has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across Europe and the USA, most recently at the National Museum, Sweden.
